Hello! I'm
Lead Consultant at CGI Philippines · APIs, integrations, and production systems
Ernest John Maskariño
I’m a Lead Consultant and Senior MuleSoft Developer specializing in API development, system integration, and enterprise solutions. I have experience working with complex integrations and production systems, helping businesses connect applications and streamline their processes.
I treat APIs as products: RAML contracts, MUnit tests, CI/CD, and documentation get the same attention as the happy path. I grew from intern at INDRA to senior integration engineer — utilities companies, Digital and traditional banking, Retail, e-commerce.
Today, I support post-production operations for Christian Dior across EMEA and global markets, coordinating releases with stakeholders and strengthening the standards that keep production stable and reliable.

Water utilities · intern to full-time
VB.NET and SQL Server apps, then Java EE, Angular 4, Spring, and MySQL to replace legacy water-industry software. Mentored interns.
What I run in practice.
The two environments I live in on integration work.
Daily driver
Design Center for contracts and fragments, Studio for flows, API Manager for policies, Runtime Manager for deploy and health. Code reviews enforce MuleSoft standards before a release leaves the pipeline.
Backend foundation
When the work is a service rather than a flow — GCash promotions, eMPF, water platforms — I still reach for Java, Spring, JPA, and REST, with JUnit/Mockito covering the same path MUnit covers on Mule.
Compare two connectivity models. Structure stays the same; only the wiring changes.
In this model: Every new consumer needs its own mapping, errors, and SLAs.
Success is quiet production. Monitoring, RCA, and SLAs matter as much as the first deploy.
Contracts, fragments, tests, and docs are part of the build — not a cleanup pass after UAT.
Experience, Process, and System APIs keep channels from coupling to core systems.
Anypoint development, flows, error handling, and API implementation standards I still apply in reviews.
Foundation for the intern-to-engineer path at INDRA and everything after.
Years of experience integrating diverse applications across industries such as technology, retail, e-commerce, fintech, and banking.
